Well, I’m off.  All that is set is set.  All that still needs work will get done when it gets done!  At this point, I have lodging booked for the whole trip (1 night Kaunas for us to crash and deal with jetlag, 4 nights Vlinius as our main base of operation, 2 nights Klaipėda to visit the coast, and the last night back in Kaunas to be ready for our 8 a.m. departure and return adventure).  I still need to figure out in-country transportation, activities, and meals.

I also still need to deal with a few little things in the couple days I’m in Austin.  Mom (mamytė) was wondering about health insurance for the trip, so I may look into that.  I verified that my auto insurance does not cover me abroad, so I guess I’ll have to buy the company insurance when I rent a car.  I got one converter plug / voltage transformer (who knew Europe has twice the voltage of U.S. outlets?), but since we’ll have five (penki) chargeable devices between us, maybe two (du) converters would be better than one (vienas).  I’m bringing my Nikon for nice pictures (see above), but still need to figure out my photo workflow / file storage strategy.

But I think we’re in decent shape.  Everything else can be tweaked en route.
