    • Hello, Cousin. Yes, Kriaučeliūnas was the family name. Variants for the women would be Kriaučeliūnienė (married) or Kriačeliūnaitė (unmarried). I think the immigrants dropped the name conventions when they came to the U.S. and all went by Kriaučeliūnas. We have an old letter from a Kriaučeliūnas cousin that my grandmother recieved. I think I’ve spotted one of her descendents (who would be your cousin, too), but haven’t been able to contact him. He runs the hospital in Vilkaviškis.
